It can sound odd
when my clients leave at the end of their therapy and I say with a big
warm smile across my face, "I hope I never see you again!" and for them
to reply also smiling with, "Thank you for all your help."
An old adage that has much truth is you know you are cured when you
don't need your therapist any longer.
An important goal for any therapy is to teach and learn. So, while many
clients come to be cured, in reality they receive much, much more.
While having therapy, they also find out about themselves and learn
skills that they can use to help them sustain balance throughout life.
One of the skills they often learn is Self Hypnosis. Self Hypnosis is a
powerful tool that can be used to relax with, and to get in contact
with your unconscious mind to find out what it is trying to say to you.
Usually, just giving your unconscious mind some time to be listened to
can give it some relief. But, if you listen carefully and ask it what
it needs, and then give it what it needs, it can feel wonderful,
relaxing and reassuring. Not only that, but you can ask it to do things
differently, giving you greater control over your emotions and habits.
With Self Hypnosis, not also can you stay in balance and connected with
your unconscious mind, but you can also change habits, improve
confidence and self esteem, lift your mood, be released from addictions
and so much more.
