Accreditation is an important factor when looking for a Hypnotherapist in Sydney. There are two main associations that accredit Hypnotherapists, thereby providing a level of reassurance that the therapist has met community established standards in the fields of Hypnosis, Hypnotherapy, Counselling, Psychology, Psychotherapy, Physiology and Pharmacology. There is more about being an effective Hypnotherapist than just hypnotising someone, as there are requirements of ongoing professional development in the range of fields outlined above.
The two major accrediting associations of hypnotherapists include the Australian Hypnotherapists Association and the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists.
The Australian Hypnotherapists Association is Australia's oldest Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy Association and has grown to be a significant force in the registration and accreditation of standards for Hypnotherapists in Australia. The Association is a Member Association of The Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation of Australia (PACFA). Jeremy is a Clinical Member of the Australian Hypnotherapists Association.

The Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists is another association that accredits and registers Hypnotherapists to practice in Australia. They also have very high standards. The Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists is a Member Association of the Australian Counsellors Association (ACA). Jeremy is a Registered Professional Member of the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists.

The National Hypnotherapists Register of Australia is sponsored by the Australian Hypnotherapists Association. This register is recognised by state and federal government bodies, health funds and the Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation of Australian as the most reliable and up-to-date source of highly qualified Clinical Hypnotherapists who have met the rigorous standards and application process before practicing in the field of hypnosis and hypnotherapy.
